Award

Students who successfully complete Year Two will be awarded a SeniorTrades Certificate (Department of Education and Skills).

Aim:

Students gain advanced skills required for working in the Hairdressing industry.

Entry Requirements Year 2:

For entry into Year 2 students must achieve at least a merit in their QQI practical Hairdressing examination, pass all other modules and have two days per week placement in a Hair Salon.

 Progression and Career Options:

This course enables students to advance their career in Hairdressing and develop a range of specialised skills. Due to the two-day work experience in a salon throughout the year, this leads to a broad range of salon experience, which often leads to employment within the salon. Students can also apply for a range of other courses in Institutes of Technology.
